I usually stay quiet behind my photos on this blog. I am a believer that there are moments when emotions are more powerfully expressed through images–when feeling alone is enough to say what needs to be said.
I love my job because it allows me to feel. I laugh when you laugh. I cry when you cry. I believe that images can tell those stories, and that is why I tuck my words away inside each photograph. I let them do the talking.
So, it is ironic that I find myself using more words on this particular post for a day that, for me, was soaked to the core with the most raw and beautiful kind of emotion there is–the kind that stretches the corners of your heart so wide that you feel it in your chest.
BUT these images would feel slightly incomplete if I didn’t tell you how honored I felt to be in a room with a family so dear to my heart and witness the miracle of their brand new tiny human making his way into this world. It brings such a brightness to my soul and I am still on cloud nine.
Two years ago I photographed the birth of Halleigh and Chris’s baby girl, Tinsley, as my first birth story and I knew that day, standing behind my lens, that I had found the most rewarding and fufilling experience of my job as a photographer. To give life is nothing short of a miracle.
a miracle.
The most beautiful and crazy and wonderful miracle this earth has to offer.
Rhyker Hayden was born on August 15th, and all 7 lbs 11 0z of him are just perfect.

Miracle beyond miracles. A beautiful baby boy. The most cherished blessing of all…The Joy of a new life given to you. Now the adventure begins…Be careful though, it will seem like before you blink twice… these babies will be all grown up. Congratulations.
